Following his fourth career Knockout Of The Night victory at UFC 159, Roy “Big Country” Nelson may already have his next fight lined up. Moments after Roy’s first round knockout of Cheick Kongo, UFC President Dana White said that he and matchmaker Joe Silva already have plans for Nelson’s next move.
Me and Joe never talk about fights the night of the fights, but we talked tonight and we’d like Roy Nelson vs [Daniel] Cormier, or, if Mark Hunt wins, Roy and Mark.”
Apparently somebody was listening, because only minutes after Dana’s announcement Cormier tweeted that he was down for the fight.
Hey @danawhite ur right I think Roy nelson and I would be a damn good fight. How about it @roynelsonmma

Daniel Cormier is coming off a three round unanimous decision victory over former champion Frank Mir a week prior in San Jose.
It is true that Dana was recently on record stating he preferred Cormier drop to 205 pounds, but if he is not ready to make the cut, Nelson is a perfect alternative.
What does Roy Nelson have to say about his options?
Having always been agreeable with whoever the UFC gives him, Nelson told Bleacher Report he would accept both Cormier and Hunt.
I want to fight the best in the world and fighting Daniel, he’s an Olympian, and I’m more than happy to welcome him to the UFC. Mark Hunt, if he can get past JDS (Junior Dos Santos), that’d be great. If he doesn’t, I’d still fight Mark Hunt because I know the fans want to see that one. I’m all about making everyone happy.”
Which fight do you prefer fight fans?
